Gunhan Guven


Gunhan starting training with the Doonside dojo in 1985, under the tutelage of Sensei Merv Oakley's most accomplished student Neville Klein 4th Dan. Gunhan was awarded Sho Dan Ho by Sensei Oakley in 1990. Gunhan instructs at our dojo in May Hill.



Tournament Results

During Gunhan's career in Karate he has competed in many tournaments. Gunhan has experience in Goju Kai tournament as well as experience in Kyokushin karate tournaments, open karate championships and international tournaments.


In 1988 Gunhan attended the Hong Kong International Goju Kai tournament. Guhan was an outstanding team member that Sensei Oakley has said is the best team he has ever taken overseas.
